All About Sylvia Resnick
HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD:
Sylvia Resnick has lived a life most of us only dream of. For years, she was in on Hollywood’s behind-the-scenes happenings, interviewing television and film stars on important aspects of their lives and careers.
Her interviews were published in the top fan magazines in the country, ie;
Photoplay, TV Radio Mirror, Modern Screen to name a few. When gossip queen Rona Barrett was preparing to launch her own publication, Rona Barrett's Hollywood, she asked Sylvia to join her staff as Associate Editor.
Sylvia's assignments included attending and reporting on star-studded Hollywood parties, award shows, such as; The Golden Globe Awards and The Emmy's in addition to writing in-depth features on the top film and television stars of the era.
St. Martin's Press signed her to write a biography of Burt Reynolds with whom she had become friends at the time.
When E channel filmed a two hour biography of the actor, the producer came to Sylvia's home to interview her on camera about Burt.
She also wrote a A Biography of Kristy Mc Nichol.
Her writing style can be described as a reader friendly approach to sharing knowledge. In addition to writing on celebrities, Sylvia also wrote a weeklytravel column for The Maine Sunday Telegram during the '80's and enjoyed the perks of traveling the world. An interest in alternative health and New Age therapies was ignited by her affiliation with Bestways Magazine, a leading health publication of the '70's, for which she wrote a monthly feature focusing on celebrity fitness and health as well as a monthly beauty feature. She is also the author of two celebrity cookbooks(THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY COOKBOOK & THE WALTON FAMILY COOKBOOK).
On the fiction front there was a trilology of teen mysteries called the Debbie Preston Hollywood Reporter series published by New American Library while working at Rona Barrett's Hollywood. She has also written two erotic novels at a time when these books were permitted to be shown only from the very top shelf of local newsstands.

Sylvia visited one of the first luxury spas to open its doors when she was a very young woman and soon recognized the stress-reducing value of spas . Since that time she has been a spa enthusiast endeavoring to bring the message of the value of a spa retreat.

Her interest in New Age Therapies has led Sylvia to research and experience first hand methods offered at dedicated spas(where one resides for a period of three to seven nights) so she can tell her readers all about them. Her enthusiasm for these therapies has led to keeping up on the latest treatments in the spa world.
Garnering tips on nutrition, fitness, stress relief and beauty she is dedicated to passing on this information to her readers.
